From Tea Party to GOOOH

Yes, I have been to a Tea Party and agree with it's goal of telling our congress people to stop the spending. It appears that they have lost all restraint when it comes to spending, that there is an unending supply for them to tap. After an outrage of spending they turn to an even larger outrage program. Their thinking is impaired, it is devoid of common sense. Another movement is afoot, GOOOH, which stands for: Get Out Of My House. This movement has the aim to remove everyone in the congress, everyone. Even your representatives, people that you like very much, are to be removed. Only then can the swine flu like infection be eradicated. This means 435 people have to go, so be it.

  • I agree with the aims of GOOOH. Our congressman, a Republican, has been in office over 20 years and wins reelections easily. However, these days simply voting with the republicans in NOT ENOUGH. We need an activist representative who gets up every morning and asks himself: what can I do today to stop the madness and restore our free market economy, reduce the size of government, reduce the national debt and strengthen our national security. I've told him I no longer support him.

  • My representative is Cliff Stearns, a nice guy, looks good, votes strictly with the Republicans, tries to find out what we want by his polls, sends out a letter to say what a good Republican he is and concentrates on getting us good roads.

Never has he recognized the threat to our liberties, the overhaul to the government that is undertaken by the Democrats or our desire for smaller government.

If he is challenged by someone with fire in his belly for a restoration of our liberties, smaller government, reduced spending, I will jump on his bandwagon.

  • OK.
Our job next year is to find solid conservatives willing to run for congress as Republicans, Democrats or Independents. Makes no difference to me.

  • My preference would be for someone exactly like Michele Bachmann
