Nancy and Gibbs
If you do not follow the news closely this will make no sense. Gibbs has conceded that there is a possibility the the majority in the House will be lost in the next election. Nancy is furious that this has been said and insists that the majority will be maintained. It appears that they have never met and do not much like each other.
Nancy has turf to protect and will do so vehemently. Should she lose the Speakers position all the perks and privileges she now has will be lost. She loves that big airplane and she loves the big gavel. Right now, when she talks, everybody listens. Without the Speakers title she goes back to being just another progressive liberal. No wonder she is angry with Gibbs for reminding her about her worst nightmare.

I seriously doubt she is angry with Gibbs for reminding her about her worst nightmare. She is angry at Obama. Gibb expresses the views of the administration.
What I think is really going on here is if the Dems lose big in November Obama can say it is no big surprise we told you we expected it. He is simply trying to distance himself from another big failure (can you say Scott Brown, Chicago Olympics, G8, etc.)
Nancy can see right through his scheme and feigns outrage to get him to START campaigning for Dem Congressmen. She probably thinks his support will help re-elect Dems but she is ignoring his dismal past record supporting candidates and causes.
