Things Not To Do

There are lists that some people make for things they want to do before they die. I have contemplated making such a list but it soon became apparent that there were more things that I did not want to do. Here are a few: getting a tongue stud, going to the North Pole, wear plumbers pants, get a wig, join the Knights of Columbus, join the effort to save the planet, assist at a brain surgery, go to the Moon, buy and drive an old car, spend a night living on the "street", repudiate my U.S. citizenship, get a sex change, get a tattoo, appear on the Jerry Springer Show, sky dive, and finally, use hedge clippers to trim my toenails.

  • HAHA...I agree with almost all of these. Anyone want to guess which ones I would do, though? (Hint: not the ones that mutilate my body)

Any particular reason why you wouldn't join the Knights of Columbus? Just curious...

  • Sean, I think that I know why Marcel wouldn't join the K of C. My impression has always been that they are a pompous bunch. I wouldn't want to be a knight either.

  • Yeah, I can see your point there. I guess in Knoxville they are less pompous and more glorified. There are so many men in the Knoxville chapters, including the Bishop of Knoxville. It must look more appealing when your own bishop is involved.
