Prediction

We will get out of Afghanistan just as we got out of Vietnam. During the campaign Obama supported fighting in Afghanistan in order to show his toughness. He is not tough. Now he is saying that the U.S. is not fighting in Afghanistan but instead it is a NATO operation. It is only a small step to announce that we will no longer support the NATO war. The fact that he does not talk to his Commander in Afghanistan reveals his lack of fire to win there. We will join Russia as a country that could not win in Afghanistan.

  • We need to either go in 100% and fight to win or get the heck out of there and accept the results. It is immoral to put the lives of our troops at risk and then let politics drive the war effort.

  • Unfortunately I believe it's almost exactly zero. And, I don't believe McCain would have been much better.

    It seems everything is a political decision any more. What ever happened to doing the right thing because it's right and not because there is something in it for you. I never was a bliever in term limits but I'm coming around. Two terms and out.

  • I can remember when I was against term limits, actually voted against it. Now I am for it because of the seeming creation of royalty through the ballot box. Yes, we do have some people that are very good at legislating but the danger of having some become aristocrats far outweighs the loss of a good legislator.

  • What bugs me the most is the arrogance and the seeming sence of contempt for the people they perport to represent. It just gauls me the "I know what's good for you better than you know what's good for you" attitude. I say 2 and out, then go home and earn a real living and live under the rules you've made.
