Another success for personal destruction

On November 8, I wrote about the politics of personal destruction. Today, another target for personal destruction was achieved by the democrats. Herman Cain, like Sarah Palin, was attacked by lies and smears. Once the attack starts there is no relenting, if one lie does not work another is tried until the person is worn down. The idea is, when multiple lies are repeated over and over again the people lose confidence and become uncertain. This uncertainty tends to dry the flow of money into the campaign. A candidate is forced to cut back on expenditures and the campaign slows to a halt.

Herman Cain is a good, decent man, a strong conservative, and is good for this Country. He believes in smaller government and this makes him a threat to liberals. With this success the liberals will focus on another target. Watch for it.

  • Hmmm. A 13-year "friendship" where he helped her financially but never told his wife that she existed. Yep, must be a democrat conspiracy.

As you know, I could not care less about extra-marital affairs. I was not even that impressed by the sexual harassment charges. I am not looking to sit next to a candidate in a meeting, I want him or her to fight for the things I think will make this country better. For me, that was not Herman Cain. But believe me it is not the democrats that are benefiting by him dropping out. I personally would have loved to see Obama crush him in a foreign policy debate. If anyone stirred this up to embarrass him it was from your own side.

  • Erika,

You may be right about Republicans being behind the attack on him, I have heard that before. The RINOS we find in Washington would certainly find him objectionable. However, what is to be said when one of the accusers is accompanied by Gloria Allred noted hater of all things Republican.

  • Gloria Allred would kiss the ass of a pig if it would root up gold for her. And her idea of gold it publicity.

  • I am so sad about the Herman news. I hate to hear that he didn't tell his wife about giving that woman money. I really like him and I still think he would have done a world of good for the country but, he has some stuff to sort out at home now. Sad news for sure.

  • I followed the logic......Because Gloria Allred represented the opposition these people must be innocent: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tiger Woods, Anthony Wiener, OJSimpson, Roman Polanski, Scot Lee Cohen, et al

  • With Cain dropping out of the presidential race, it is apparent that some of the things said of him were true. How sad that he could not have been more pure. Yet, those who came forward did a real service for the Republicans, they might have waited until he was declared the nominee.
